POSTCARD FROM THE PANDEMIC: “When I’ve needed to find resolve, I go quiet and imagine my daughter telling her children about this.”

Lilly Neubauer, who says she’s done the art, nonprofit, fashion retail and the “look at how I’m the perfect Mom” scenes, has developed an e-book called “Love in the Time of Conoravirus.” It shares insights that her family has learned during the pandemic, including crafts, toys she loves, self care, what to cook, backyard gardening and more. She’s also developed a weekly newsletter of social emotional tools and resources for young families during this time. Coming up: a craft supply list and craft guide for families to keep kids busy all summer. “Craft time does not have to be expensive or stressful,” says Neubauer, who has a 6-year-old daughter. “When I’ve needed to find resolve, I go quiet and imagine my daughter telling her children about this. Will she talk about the fear and how we all perceived lack, isolation, and distrust? Or will she tell her children about how seeing the good in humanity during this time shaped her world view?”
