How Jesuit grad Jordan Spieth plans to compete in a fundraising golf event following social distancing guidelines
Jesuit grad Jordan Spieth is one of a dozen PGA Tour pros scheduled to play in a fundraising event at Maridoe Golf Club outside Dallas May 19-21, according to Golfworld. Players praisedĀ the club outside Dallas for pulling off itsĀ initial 54-hole event April 28-30 following social distancing guidelines. It raised more than $20,000 for the clubās caddie fund. Among the guidelines:
- No carts and caddies.
- No bunker rakes (a walking scorer with each group will stay on the cart path and rake bunkers when needed).
- Participants can only have one guest.
- Participants can arrive no earlier than 30 minutes before tee times.
- Participants must not come within 6 feet of fellow competitors.
- The clubs range will convert into a par-3 course and available for players to warm up quickly before their rounds.
