You’re invited to a virtual town hall meeting with the Texas Trees Foundation Thursday, May 21, at 5:30 p.m., according to City Council member Jennifer Staubach Gates. The topic is best practices to replace lost trees due to the Oct. 20 tornado. During the webinar, qualified participants (those who were in the path of the tornado) will have the opportunity to sign up for a free tree. Sign up here. In the past, the Advocate has done stories on efforts to replace trees, including Brant Landry, who helped neighbors replace their trees, and Kids Luv Trees, which raised money to replace trees.
