Six Girl Scouts from Preston Hollow earned the prestigious Girl Scout Gold Award, which recognizes girls from grade 9 to 12 who take action on a topic or a cause they’re passionate about as they develop leadership skills and spend more than 80 hours to complete their project.

Harper Hinds and Haven Hinds of Shelton School; Juliana Lu, Alexandra May, and Sophie Person of Hockaday School; and Victoria Barbero of Ursuline Academy are six Girl Scouts earned their Gold Award  The Hinds sisters and Barbero are also 2020 graduates. Lu’s project involved working with Walnut Hill Elementary to create an authentic Chinese New Year celebration to educate and promote cultural diversity.
