Councilmembers Jennifer Staubach Gates, Lee Kleinman and the Dallas Police Department plan a virtual community meeting Thursday, June 4, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. about the murder of Leslie Baker. Baker was shot in her car Monday, May 25, at about 5 p.m. in the 6100 block of Royalton Drive near Preston and Royal. On Wednesday, May 27, a juvenile was arrested and charged with capital murder by homicide detectives. “For those of you who lost a friend, I am deeply sorry for this senseless loss,” Gates said.
