Two potential developments in Preston Center would bring a hotel, condos and apartments.

The developments along Westchester Drive between Luther Lane and Sherry Lane are under separate firms, Rosebriar Corp. and Burk Interests, reported Dallas Business Journal.

Rosebriar wants to build a 23-story hotel and condo tower where Hopdoddy Burger Bar is located, says retired CEO Bill Hanks.

Burk Interests aims to build a 27-story apartment complex with 255 units, reported the Dallas Morning News.

The projects are based on the Dallas City Council’s “Northwest Highway and Preston Road Area Plan.”

They must first get approved by Dallas’s City Plan Commission in July then get final approval from City Council in August.

If approved, the Rosebriar project would not start construction until 2021 at the earliest due to the COVID-19 pandemic, says Hanks.
