A group of Dallas chefs, including several in Preston Hollow, have joined forces for a campaign that raises awareness and fundraises for immigrant workers of the food industry in cities across the nation.
#AskChefsAnything is an auction where the winner gets a 30-minute one-on-one Zoom conversation with your favorite local food personality, Culture Map reported.
The auction page is now open for viewing. Bidding begins at $100 and increases in increments of $20.
Preston Hollow chefs participating include:

The idea for this fundraiser came from New York food industry veterans Gaeleen Quinn and Anna Polonsky. Their goal was to help immigrants, a community most impacted by the coronavirus crisis in the restaurant world.
Many immigrant workers do not qualify for federal relief packages and cannot claim unemployment benefits. The goal is to help 250 families per city connected to community centers in each location.
Harvest Project is the charity partner for the Dallas initiative. It started in 2014 as a community project that assisted underserved communities in Dallas. The organization’s mission is still committed to giving fresh produce to families in need. In the past five years, Harvest Project has redistributed over 5 million pounds of produce, feeding more than 45,000 families in the Dallas area, Culture map reported.
