Wisteria, a home furnishings store with a location in Inwood Village and an outlet in Farmers Branch, is going out of business.

The company had a strong local following. It officially announced the closing on its website Monday without explanation, the Dallas Morning News reported. Wisteria reopened a little less than a month ago and then suddenly switched to a going-out-of-business sale, the publication said.

The founders Andrew and Shannon Newsom sold their company to U.K.-based OKA Direct Ltd. in 2018. The goal was to slowly spread the Wisteria brand; a third location opened in Houston.

Wisteria’s website said that they are “unable to predict an exact closing date for our website and stores,” but the company encourages shoppers to shop online or in stores in the meantime.
