A store that’s everything Italian is coming to NorthPark Center. Eataly, a three-level food hall and Italian grocery, will open in 2020.

Construction is ongoing on the Boedecker Street side of NorthPark, the Dallas Morning News reported.

The large-format Italian grocery is like a cross between a grocery store and a farmers market. The first one opened in Turin, Italy in 2007, and the New York City location opened in 2010. Since then, the company has opened in Tokyo, Rome, Chicago, Milan, Sao Paolo, Munich, Las Vegas, Boston, Los Angeles, Paris and Toronto.

Eataly has started recruiting for 11 top jobs, the publication said. Job openings include manager positions for grocery, bakery, Human Resources, warehouse and wine. The company is also hiring fish mongers, chefs and a pasta maker.

An Eataly location is set to open this year in London, but the Dallas store is the only U.S. location the company plans to open in the near future.

“At this time, we’re still planning to open in 2020,” an Eataly spokeswoman told the Dallas Morning News. “We continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation, inclusive of how new regulations could impact construction.”

Eataly at NorthPark Center will be the Italian brand’s first store in Texas.
