Former Dallas Mavericks player Dirk Nowitzki has a 2020 net worth of around $140 million, reported Clutch Points.

The NBA star and Preston Hollow resident played 21 seasons with the Mavericks, where he made $251.6 million in total salaries, reported Spotrac.

Nowitzki was the sixth-highest player of all time when he finished his career, reported Clutch Points.

Nowitzki played for the Mavericks his whole career despite offers from other teams. He reportedly lost out on around $194 million since he stayed with Dallas, which would have made him the highest-paid player of all time. Despite this, since he played in Texas, he benefited from not having to pay income taxes, reported Clutch Points.

Nowitzki started with the Mavericks in 1998 and resigned a four-year $48 million contract before the 2001-2002 season, reported Clutch Points.

In 2006 Nowitzki signed a five-year extension at $90.8 million, and before the 2010-2011 season, he signed another extension for four years at $80 million, reported Clutch Points.

During the 2011 season, Nowitzki led the Dallas Mavericks to win an NBA Championship.

Nowitzki stayed with the Mavericks until the end of his career in 2019.
