Toni and Harley are both 4-year-old Jack Russell Terriers, and while they might be the same breed, they couldn’t be more different.

Toni is a loving and gentle dog. Harley is rambunctious.“He marches to the beat of his own drum,” owner Eleanor Grindinger says about Harley.

The Grindingers have only owned Jack Russell Terriers.

“My mom and dad think that just having one dog is not beneficial to the dog, so if we do get dogs, it’s always gonna be a pair,” Eleanor says.

Harley thinks the pair are good friends, but Toni isn’t convinced. Like many siblings, they fight and get on each other’s nerves when they’re together. But they miss each other when separated.

“Anytime you take one of them away from the other, they freak out,” owner Barrett Grindinger says. “If you take Harley to the vet and leave Toni at home she will not stop barking the whole time.”

The terriers fit in with the Grindinger family and each of their dispositions pertains to different members.

“Even though they have really different personalities and they’re sometimes stubborn, they’re the best dogs we could ask for,” Eleanor says.
