Corn dog fans rejoice. Fletcher’s Original Corny Dogs will be sold at 187 Golden Chick locations throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana beginning Sept. 1.

After an announcement earlier this summer that the 2020 State Fair of Texas would be cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns, the Dallas-based brand has decided to partner with the Texas fast-food chain to continue offering their iconic dogs to the public. Fletcher’s will be available at locations across all three states through Oct. 25, the time during which they would’ve been available at the State Fair.

The Original Corny Dog is available for $5 or as a combo with golden fries and a drink for $7.99.

In response to the cancellation, the company has staged pop-up events with their catering trucks throughout North Texas. Fletcher’s Original Corny Dogs will also be available at the Big Tex Fair Food Drive-Thru events happening at Fair Park during several weekends in September and October.

Throughout the partnership, Golden Chick will be hosting socially distanced community events and give back initiatives. Both companies have longstanding ties to Texas. Fletcher’s started in Dallas in 1942, while Golden Chick began in San Marcos in 1967. Both companies are also headquartered in the DFW area.
