Jesuit football ranked in the top 20 list of Dallas area teams

Jesuit has earned a spot in the top 20 rankings headed into the 2020 season.

SportsDayHS broke down the 6A Dallas-area teams with the Dallas Morning News and ranked Jesuit no. 15 on the list. Duncanville earned first place on the list.

Jesuit’s record for the 2019 season was 9-5 which earned them the title of 6A Division II regional finalist.

Last season, the team’s running back EJ Smith, now playing at Stanford, was the core of the Rangers’ offense.

This year, the team still has one of its best backfield players, Jake Taylor, who rushed 215 carries over more than 1,100 yards and scored eight touchdowns.

Along with Taylor, SportsDayHS noted players Robert Fitzgerald, Matthew Craycraft, Ryan Lengyel, Gage Roy and Peter Melle to look out for.
