Police said witnesses reported the shooting happened around 2:15 a.m. at 13340 Dallas Parkway, where a group of people shot at a white Mercedes in the parking lot of the North Dallas hotel. Witnesses told police that a group of men in a dark-colored sedan had shot into another vehicle in front of the hotel and that both cars had fled.
Officers responded to the shooting call and found the wounded man, whose name has not been released, in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. He later died at a nearby hospital.
According to police, no suspects are currently in custody. Investigation about the shooting is ongoing and police have yet to determine whether the man who was shot had a connection to anyone in either vehicle.
