Petbar owners Dan and Ashley O’Loughlin had to postpone the grand opening of their second location on Lovers Lane due to COVID-19; however, festivities were finally held Saturday to commemorate the business’ expansion into Preston Hollow.

The self-service dog wash and professional grooming spa opened the location in April and, animal services being deemed as essential during the shutdown, was and continues to be a business that hasn’t been negatively affected by the pandemic. They nixed their self-service washes during the shutdown but continued offering washing and grooming services by their staff, initiating curbside dropoff with staff members picking up animals from their owners’ vehicles.

The company celebrated their grand opening with a free, outdoor Howl-O-Ween event from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday that featured a dog costume contest, dog bone cutting ceremony, prizes and dog big giveaways. Attendees also enjoyed a free self-wash for their pets.

The Lovers Lane location is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Check out their website for additional info and services.
