Plans have evolved for the new mixed-use development near Preston Center, the Dallas Business Journal reported

Originally, Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church partnered with Lincoln Property Co. to build an eight-story office building with a 12-story residential tower. Now, plans have shifted to add more floors.

On completion, the space will boast an office tower with 13 stories and an apartment highrise with 15. It will also feature a restaurant and patio, ground floor retail, public green space and a large parking garage.

“Our goal is to design and build a ‘best-in-class’ development designed to meet both the guidelines of the Preston Center Task Force and the needs of Saint Michael and All Angels and the surrounding neighborhood,” said John Walter, executive vice president of LPC, in a prepared statement in 2018. “It has taken a significant commitment of time and money to accommodate the task force’s recommendations, but we believe the new result will be worth it.”

Expected to cost $125 million to build, the properties will be located at  8111 Douglas Ave. The current plan is to break ground in February 2021 with project completion by February 2023.
