Valentine’s Day is about a week away.

If you’d prefer to stay home this year, some local outlets are here to help you prepare a meal at home.

TJ’s Seafood Market is offering to-go sweetheart dinners. One $130 package serves two people and includes Caesar salad with cocktail shrimp, tomato basil bisque, beef medallions, miso-seared tuna and a chocolate raspberry cheesecake. Orders can be placed here.

Princi Italia is serving its own version, a “Take Me Home Tonight” dinner for two. Enjoy a caprese and crabmeat salad, a 16-ounce chateaubriand, family-style sides and tiramisu for dessert.

But you might be wanting to go out. So here’s a roundup of restaurants in Preston Hollow that are offering specials for Valentine’s Day.

Drake’s Hollywood

Drake’s has created a prix fixe menu for Valentine’s Day. For $150, each person has the choice of an appetizer, entree and side, and the meal comes with a chocolate lava sundae.

Appetizer options include steak tartare, balsamic burrata, crab cake and caviar, Caesar salad and more. Pair one of those with honey truffle chicken, a filet or perhaps barbecued salmon, plus lobster risotto, mushrooms or one of the other sides.

The steakhouse has also suggested wine pairings with each course for $18 a glass.

Primo’s MX Kitchen and Lounge

Primo’s is offering a Valentine’s Day special that lasts all weekend.

For $36 per person, customers who visit on Saturday or Sunday can opt for the three-course prix fixe menu, with the choice of an appetizer, entree and dessert. The Tex-Mex appetizers include options such as guacamole, queso, nachos and tortilla soup, and main courses offered include brisket tacos, verdes y crema enchiladas and pork tenderloin.

Desserts are meant to be shared — either a red velvet tres leches cake or churros.

Primo’s is also selling bottles of wine at half price.

Princi Italia

Next weekend, this local Italian restaurant is keeping its full regular menu, and it’s adding a three-course prix fixe menu plus a brunch option on Sunday.

For $55, each person chooses an appetizer, such as lobster and tarragon tortellini or caprese and crabmeat salad, an entree, such as grilled Florida red fish or filet mignon, as well as a dessert, like a chocolate and strawberry mousse or tiramisu. As a bonus, Princi Italia is saying “arrivederci” with white and dark chocolate long-stem strawberries.

The prix fixe menu is available all weekend, but to try the brunch, customers have to visit on Sunday between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Pick from a Scottish salmon oscar, risotto di mare and a sunrise surf and turf. Plus, Princi Italia is serving mimosas and bellinis for $2.

Sevy’s Grill

In addition to the regular menu at Sevy’s, customers can choose any of the Valentine’s Day features.

Diners might choose the shellfish platter, which comes with jumbo Gulf shrimp, oysters and a Maine lobster tail remoulade for two. Or, the grilled Chilean sea bass might strike someone’s fancy. So too will the mixed grill, the 10-ounce lobster tail or the porterhouse steak for two.

Complete the meal with a featured dessert, a cheesecake plate with both a dark chocolate and hazelnut cake and one with fresh strawberries and strawberry sauce, or a chocolate flan.

These options are available beginning Friday, Feb. 12.
