New deli coming to Preston Commons office building

Contractors have filed a permit to build a new deli inside an office building at the Preston Commons shopping center.

According to the permit, which was submitted Feb. 5, “The Common Counter” deli will be housed in suite 110 at 8115 Preston Road. Scott + Reid is listed as the contractor for the job.

The applicant indicated the remodel of the 1,154 square feet will have a value of $10,000.

Preston Commons is zoned as a planned development district, PD 314, which was created in 1989.

The building where the deli will be located is managed by KBS, a commercial real estate company founded in 1992. KBS also manages the two neighboring buildings at 8111 Preston Road and 8117 Preston Road.
