Oncor Map of Preston Hollow as of 5:27 p.m.
Various tweets and posts have gone viral on Twitter, saying that residents in Preston Hollow and other neighborhoods have had power, where as lower-income neighborhoods have gone without. This is due to the Oncor Outage Map, which looks quite barren for Preston Hollow as of 5:27 p.m.
If you look at the Texas power outages map you'll see no reported outages in Highland Park, Preston Hollow, or the other wealthy neighborhoods in Dallas...

Tweets following have been mixed. Some Preston Hollow residents are reporting major power outages, while visitors from other neighborhoods are saying that while driving through Preston Hollow, lights are on in many houses.
There are tons of homes in Preston Hollow that have been without power for over 20 hours too. This isn’t a rich v poor thing. It’s a failure of preparation on Oncor and Ercot’s part. Leadership can and should be held accountable!!!

Highland Park/Preston Hollow update: I’ve been driving through it so you don’t have to. Not only is their power alive & well, they also have working stoplights unlike the rest of the city #HighlandPark

As we continue to look into if our neighborhood has had more hours of electricity than others, we took Facebook to ask our neighbors if they’ve had power, and it seems as if many have not. View the full Facebook post with comments here, and update us on your power situation on Facebook as well.
The Oncor map is reporting very few power outages in our neighborhood. Please let us know in the comments below if you live in Preston Hollow and if you are with or without power.
