Update (Feb. 17): Dallas ISD canceled classes Thursday, Feb. 18, rather than switching to virtual learning as originally planned. Ursuline Academy andĀ Jesuit Dallas also canceled school for the rest of the week. Hockaday canceled classes Wednesday, instead of holding them virtually. The school also canceled classes Thursday and Friday. St. Mark’s canceled classes Wednesday and said that would likely continue through at least Thursday.

Dallas ISD and private schools in Preston Hollow have adjusted school schedules this week in response to the winter storm.

The district canceled classes on Tuesday and Wednesday, and teachers and students will not have to make up those days. Instruction will resume virtually Thursday and Friday.

Ursuline Academy made Tuesday a snow day and decided to keep Wednesday a “Community Day,” though it said it could not host mass on Ash Wednesday or distribute ashes. The school also announced B Day classes would he held virtually Thursday.

Jesuit Dallas closed its campus Tuesday and Wednesday and canceled all activities scheduled for those days.

Hockaday students were given a snow day Tuesday and are supposed to participate in virtual classes starting Wednesday.

Classes were canceled at St. Mark’s on Tuesday, but school administrators said classes would likely resume virtually on Wednesday.
