A Dallas plastic surgeon is setting up a practice at the corner of Preston Road and Royal Lane.

Preston Hollow neighbor Phillip Dauwe is a board-certified plastic surgeon who has been considering moving the location of his office for a few years.

When the tornado swept through Dallas a couple years ago, it damaged real estate in our neighborhood, including the nearly 5,000-square-foot building at 10707 Preston Road. That property was the home of the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce (NDCC), until the organization decided to sell it in February.

“So we kind of jumped on it,” Dauwe says.

Dauwe was looking to set up his new practice in a commerce-driven area where there’s plenty of traffic, especially since it operates more like a business than a traditional medical clinic.

The contractor renovating the old NDCC building filed an application for a building project Feb. 26. Dauwe says construction is expected to be completed before the office opens in August or September.

He’s envisioning an office that attracts people looking for a high-end aesthetic experience, but he doesn’t want his services to seem exclusive. Dauwe performs face lifts and other facial aesthetics as well as breast and skin reconstructions for cancer survivors.

The area around the future site of Dauwe’s office is attracting other medical clinics. There’s already a dermatology practice, and Dauwe says another medical practice will be moving in.
