The athletic trainer at Hillcrest High School got a shoutout from Dallas ISD in recognition of National Athletic Training Month.
A graduate of Texas A&M and Stephen F. Austin State University, Joshua Myrick has been working for Dallas ISD Athletics for five years.
Myrick was recognized in a DISD Athletics tweet Monday. According to the tweet, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies and playing golf.

Hillcrest wrote in a separate tweet, “Our entire athletic community loves… ‘Josh’!”
National Athletic Training Month, an initiative from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, is held every March to spread awareness of the work of athletic trainers. This year’s slogan is “Essential to Health Care.”
