The Business Council for the Arts (BCA) has named Philip and Rebecca Silvestri the co-chairs of the 2021 Obelisk Awards, according to a BCA press release.

This year marks the 33rd iteration of the Obelisk Awards, which recognizes companies and leaders in business and the arts for their support of arts and culture in North Texas. The BCA, based in NorthPark Center, “encourages, inspires and stimulates businesses and municipalities to support the arts in the workplace, in education and in the community,” the organization’s website says.

Philip Silvestri, a board member of the BCA, and his wife are the publishers of Local Profile, a magazine based in Collin County.

Nominations for honorees are due by 5 p.m. May 28. Categories include Business Champion for the Arts, Arts Education, Distinguished Cultural Organization, Arts Partnerships, Visionary Nonprofit Arts Leader, New Initiatives and Outstanding Leadership Arts Institute Alumnus.
