The Taco Joint is opening its fifth Dallas location at a space in Summertree Center.

Ryan Betz, from real estate development business Betz Company, says the location is going in the old Picasso’s Pizza & Grill space, suite 112.

Construction crews will need to change the facade of the building. Betz says he is working with next door patrons Republic Texas Tavern and East Hampton Sandwich Co. to coordinate the new storefront.

Taco Joint will only occupy half the space of the old Picasso’s, and Betz is talking with several other potential tenants to fill the available space.

The nearest Taco Joint to our neighbors is located in Preston Center, at 6112 Luther Lane. Corey McCauley and Josh “Dr. J” Fox opened the first Taco Joint in 2008 on Peak Street with co-owner Jeffrey Kowitz.

Taco Joint’s newest location, which Betz says he expects will open sometime in early summer, will be at 12300 Inwood Road.
