As temperatures start to rise in our city, one thing is certain: Summer is almost here. And that means it’s time to start thinking about activities to do after the school year ends.

Many organizations in our neighborhood are open and offering summer day camps for children interested in a variety of activities. Here’s a list of places to consider:

  • Aaron Family JCC

The JCC has three sessions of J camps this summer. Session One is June 7-25, Session Two is June 28-July 16, and Session Three is July 19-Aug. 6.

Camps, which are for kids in several age groups, are offered in a variety of activities, including sports, tennis, gymnastics, and musical theater and performing arts. There is even a camp that takes participants to Hot Springs, Arkansas.

More information about the J camps can be found here.

The JCC is located at 7900 Northaven Road.
