Results from the May 1 election are in, and two of the District 13 City Council candidates are heading to a runoff election next month.
Neighbors will choose between Leland Burk and Gay Donnell Willis for the open seat.
Here is the breakdown of the votes:
- Leland Burk: 4,133 (43.04%)
- Gay Donnell Willis: 4,019 (41.85%)
- Mac Smith: 720 (7.50%)
- Ryan Moore: 406 (4.23%)
- Da’On Boulanger-Chatman: 325 (3.38%)
The runoff election, which occurs when no candidate wins more than 50% of the vote, occurs June 5.
