Results from the May 1 election are in, and two of the District 11 City Council candidates are heading to a runoff election.

Former city plan commissioner Jaynie Schultz and mediator Barry Wernick received the highest number of votes among the four candidates.

Schultz received 2,889 votes (36.22%), and Wernick received 3,038 (38.08%). Hosanna Yemiru received 19.61%, and Candy Evans received 6.09%.

The runoff, which occurs when no candidate wins at least 50% of the vote, will be held June 5.
