The Chick-fil-A at Inwood Road may soon be getting an update.
A permit application was submitted this week to install shade canopies over the existing drive-thru. The canopies work to block the sun and rain from falling on employees and customers in the drive-thru lane.
According to the application, the project is expected to cost about $170,000.
Chick-fil-A is located at 12120 Inwood Road, near Forest Lane. This location has been open in the neighborhood for a while, and two years ago, one Episcopal School of Dallas student worked with the store to organize a fundraiser for the North Texas Food Bank.
