Some lawyers in California want to hear from Don Henley.

The Preston Hollow neighbor is one of several musicians the law firm Latham & Watkins wants to depose, The Hollywood Reporter wrote.

The Radio Music License Committee (RMLC) is pushing back against licensing demands from Global Music Rights LLC (GMR), a performance rights collective founded by Irving Azoff. GMR wants higher license fees.

Lawyers from RMLC allege Henley and artists including Jon Bon Jovi are part of a “hub-and-spoke conspiracy.” But GMR’s attorney told the judge in the case the equity interests Henley and the others have are non-voting shares that allow them to receive part of the proceeds if there is a liquidity event involving GMR.

RMLC says it has documents that show there were “conversations” between the musicians before they partnered with GMR.
