After surviving a tornado and a pandemic, the Barnes & Noble at the Preston Royal Shopping Center is closing June 13.
A sign outside the location at 5959 Royal Lane reads: “Thank you for your patronage over the past 15 years. We hope to be back in this area before too long.”
An employee at the book shop said the store is closing because of disagreements with the landlord and that the lease was terminated. Employees will be transferred to another location.
Barnes & Noble has nearby stores at Prestonwood Center on Beltline Road and Lincoln Park, across from NorthPark.
Everything in the store is 40-50% off.
