The Dallas-based Neiman Marcus Group announced that they will stop selling fur products at all their NMG brands, including Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman.

The announcement comes after decades of protests from PETA and is a part of the companies Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals to sell sustainable and ethical products.

The group is working with the Humane Society of the United States to create an Animal Welfare Policy that meets the Fur Free Alliance Guidelines.

“It is clear the future is fur-free, and that includes the ultra-luxury space,” said CEO Geoffroy van Raemdonck in a statement.

All of NMG’s fur salons and products will be gone by early 2023.
