It’s that time of year again. Hatch is back at Central Market

Central Market is getting ready for its 26th annual Hatch Chile Fest.

The retailer will sell more Hatch products than ever before, including fresh and fire-roasted peppers, Hatch pepper tortillas and Hatch-marinated meats and seafood. Some highlights are the hatch queso chicken mac and cheese casserole, Hatch twice-baked potatoes, Hatch crab cakes, Hatch pepper sausage kolaches and brioche with roasted Hatch pepper.

The peppers get their name from Hatch, New Mexico, where they’re harvested for a few weeks each year. Central Market is bringing in more than 250,000 pounds of the peppers this year.
