Malai Kitchen is planning to open its fourth location in Preston Center this fall.
The restaurant, which serves Thai and Vietnamese cuisine, will move into 6130 Luther Lane in the former Bartaco space. It will occupy about 3,000 square feet, seating up to 115 guests. There will also be a 42-foot-long bar including 22 seats and a 28-seat patio, equipped with air conditioning for warmer weather and a fire pit for cooler weather.
Husband-and-wife duo Braden and Yasmin Wages own and operate Malai Kitchen, which has locations in Southlake, Fort Worth and West Village. Their menu is inspired by their annual trips to Southeast Asia.

“Our foundation, from day one, has always been to showcase our own take on Southeast Asian cuisine,” Yasmin Wages said in a statement.
When possible, everything is made from scratch. This includes the curry paste, coconut milk and sriracha. Plus, the restaurant offers several healthy options and can cater to gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan and dairy-free diets.

Malai Kitchen also offers 16 wines by the glass, six house-brewed Asian-style beers on tap and cocktails that incorporate Southeast Asian flavors.
Neighbors will be able to visit Malai Kitchen for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
Business hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Saturday.
