A local real estate group has purchased a corner property in Preston Center, housing seven tenants in 15,000 square feet of space.

Stockdale Investment Group acquired the space, which faces west toward Inwood Village. Businesses such as Verizon, Ticket Finders and Preston Center Animal Clinic lease space there.

“We have had our eye on this property because of its legacy location within one of Dallas’ most premier retail centers,” said Joe Pastora, a managing partner at Stockdale. “This acquisition reflects our core strategy of purchasing legacy properties in irreplaceable locations.”

Stockdale, the new owner, manager and landlord, plans to run the property as it is. The family-owned real estate venture also owns the Preston Forest Shopping Center. The group acquired 5501 W. Lovers Lane in late July and also owns 5730 W. Lovers Lane. Stockdale has no specific properties in mind in our neighborhood, according to a company spokesperson, but has continued interest in future properties here.

Before Preston Center was the mixed-use development at Northwest Highway and Preston Road, it was a dairy owned by the McCraw family.

Sam Lobello Sr., Sam Ventura Sr. and J.T. Piranio purchased the land from the McCraws. Lobello began building on the land, and his family, represented by Inroads Realty, sold the property to Stockdale.
