A new collection from Allie + Bess, a women-owned, Dallas-based jewelry brand, will go on sale Aug. 9.

The game day collection is the latest from the company started by Ursuline alumna Bess Callarman and Allie Wardlaw.

“It’s meant to be fun and just kind of show your spirit,” Callarman said.

Allie + Bess was founded in 2019 by the friends, who began their careers in the medical field. Both love fashion and couldn’t find what they were looking for in the jewelry market.

They’re working more now than they were as an occupational therapist and a speech pathologist. But they said they’re invigorated by what they do.

This collection was supposed to launch last year, but it was delayed because sports were canceled. Right now, it is just stackable bracelets, which the company is known for, but the co-founders have plans to expand it to include earrings and additional colors.

“We’re launching more products than we ever have, and so we wanted to do that first and then go from there,” Wardlaw said.

Allie + Bess sources its beads from all over the world. Gold comes from India, and the vulcanite beads are made from repurposed vinyl records.

All of the jewelry is made in the U.S. The company employs seven people, including two refugees.
