The tables have turned.

After years of being the interview subject, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban had his turn asking the questions.

Cuban was invited to interview WFAA sportscaster Dale Hansen on the primetime special “Hansen: The End of an Era.” The episode aired Sunday.

Hansen is leaving the channel after more than 38 years there and about five decades in his broadcast career.

Cuban’s first question took Hansen back to his youth, back to when he lived in Iowa in the same neighborhood as Johnny Carson’s grandparents. What did he want to be when he grew up? Answer: a disc jockey.
