Ursuline Academy was named a 2021-22 Microsoft Showcase School, and several of its teachers were designated Microsoft Innovative Educator experts.

The school received the recognition by using Microsoft Teams and social media to build online communities and explore digital transformation in education. Educators and schools in 100 countries are part of the MIE program.

Eighteen teachers at Ursuline were named MIE experts. Of the more than 25,000 submissions, 700 were chosen in the U.S. As experts, they get access to peer learning, amplification opportunities, and research and solutions.

“Their hard work is reflected in improved learning outcomes for their students and an increased focus on future-ready skills,” according to Microsoft. “Additionally, their dedication to education transformation has helped them and their schools effectively manage the transition to remote and hybrid learning during the current COVID-19 crisis, and they are now reimagining what the in-school experience will look and feel like.”
