The Dallas ISD wants eligible students to get vaccinated against COVID-19, and it’s putting up one-time incentives of $50.

The district is offering gift cards that can be used like cash to vaccinated students 12 and older who opt to get their jabs.

Here’s how to get the gift card:

“Parents/guardians or students who are at least 18 should fill out the proof of vaccination form and submit a copy of the student’s COVID vaccination card, IMMTrac2 print out or written confirmation from a medical provider by Nov. 15.”

Once proof is submitted, students will be notified when the gift cards are available to pick up. Proof of vaccination may be submitted here.

The incentive is available to all eligible students, regardless of when they received the vaccine.

“The announcement of the student vaccination incentive comes as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Dallas County Health officials have raised the COVID-19 alert to level red and reported that hospitalizations are rising at the fastest rate since the pandemic began, among all age groups, including children,” the district stated in a release.
