Our neighborhood may soon be getting a new salad place.

Salad and Go, a drive-thru chain specializing in made-to-order salads, applied for a certificate of occupancy in our neighborhood at Marsh Lane and Walnut Hill Lane near Thomas Jefferson High School.

There’s currently a Salad and Go in East Dallas on Ross Avenue, as well as several throughout the metroplex.

Lunch and dinner salads start at $5.74, with the first portion of chicken or tofu free. Additional protein portions cost $1.44 each.

The restaurant also offers breakfast burritos in the morning, priced at $2.99 each.

The menu was put together by executive chef Daniel Patino, who has worked in the kitchens at Bourbon Steak in Scottsdale, The French Laundry in Yountville, Daniel in New York City, Charlie Trotter’s in Chicago and Stars in San Francisco and Seattle.

If all goes according to plan, Salad and Go will open at 10002 Marsh Lane.
