It’s Friday, so the weekend is right around the corner.

Neighbors in need of something to do can head to the Northaven Trail.

On Saturday, the Semones Family YMCA is hosting an open house. There will be giveaways, music, food, a pickleball clinic and crafts for kids. The event runs 8-11 a.m. at the YMCA at 4332 Northaven Road.

Looking ahead to next weekend, there are a few more events scheduled along the trail.

Northaven United Methodist Church, located at 11211 Preston Road, is holding its first-annual fine art show. Art on the Trail is scheduled for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 30. Several artists including Sharon Lee Smith of Azzurro Luna Studio, sculptor Henry Aschner, Krista Miller, Gail Degler and more will be showcasing their work. In addition, music will be provided by Acoustic Kleptos and Mrs. Jones. Ruthie’s Cafe Momentum is offering food.

Then after Art on the Trail, Friends of Northaven Trail is hosting a free movie night. “Coco” begins at 6:30 p.m. at Northaven Church, and neighbors are invited to bring picnics and blankets.
