The fourth location of Malai Kitchen will open in Preston Center soon in the former Bartaco space.

The restaurant, owned by husband-wife duo Yasmin and Braden Wages, serves Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. Menu items are made from scratch whenever possible — everything from the curry paste, fresh-pressed coconut milk and sriracha.

There is an expansive drink menu as well. Sixteen wines by the glass are available, as well as several signature cocktails including a Malaysian martini, lemongrass fizz, jalapeño basil margarita and a Mekong mule.

In addition, the Wages have their own nano-brewery at the Southlake Malai Kitchen, where they create beers to complement the cuisine. They offer Bia Hoi, a Vietnamese-style lager, TahiPA, Belgian wheat beer, hazy IPA, American porter and a rotating seasonal beer.

Malai Kitchen is set to open in Preston Hollow on Nov. 2. With 3,000 square feet of space, 115 people can sit in the interior dining room. Plus, the restaurant has a U-shaped, 22-seat bar and a 28-seat patio.
