Mimi’s Pizzeria is showing thanks to veterans and active-duty military members by letting them eat free on Veterans Day.

The restaurant will cover the meal cost for anyone who shows a military ID or other proof of service. Plus, Mimi’s is donated 30% of the proceeds from tomorrow to Folds of Honor North Texas.

Folds of Honor provides educational scholarships to the families of military personnel who have died or been disabled while on active duty. Since it was founded in 2007, the nonprofit has awarded about 35,000 scholarships to people in all 50 states and some United States territories. This year, it gave out 6,000 scholarships.

“Folds of Honor’s mission is so important, which is why we want to help raise funds needed for educational scholarships that will make a difference in someone’s life,” Mimi’s owner Jetmir Ahmedi said in a release.

This isn’t the first time the restaurant has given back to the community. Last year, Mimi’s donated $2,000 to The Family Place.

Mimi’s Pizzeria is located at 6807 W. Northwest Highway.
