The student newspaper at the Episcopal School of Dallas recently won a national award.

The Eagle Edition won the Newspaper Pacemaker Award for the fourth consecutive year. This award is scholastic journalism’s preeminent award and recognizes student media produced during a school year.

“I’m always in awe of the quality of work the journalism kids produce,” Ana Rosenthal, an adviser and journalism teacher, told the school. “Their ability to work hard and think outside of the box, but always following high journalism standards, sets them apart and makes them stand out.”

The Pacemaker awards are given by the National Scholastic Press Association, which “advances journalism and media as a vital cultural force by connecting advisers, students and professionals through national events and competitions.”

Editors of the Eagle Edition are Blair Batson and Evelyn Zhao.
