Add father to the list for Jordan Spieth.
The Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas alumnus announced on Twitter he’s now a father.
His wife, Annie Verret, gave birth to Sammy Spieth on Nov. 14. Spieth wrote on the tweet that the baby and mother were both healthy.
The pro golfer received lots of praise on social media. On Instagram, for example, Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn wrote, “Yay!! Congrats you guys!!! Fellow golfer Brooks Koepka wrote, “Congrats bro! That’s awesome!” And musician Niall Horan, a former member of One Direction, also sent a message of congratulations.
