Allie + Bess, a Dallas-based company, is helping the children at Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support with some holiday gifts this year.

The business, which was co-founded by Ursuline Academy alumna Bess Callarman and Allie Wardlaw, is bringing beads to the kids at the shelter to help them create bracelet stacks to give to their mothers.

Callarman and Wardlaw are both mothers, and the five black beads on each Allie + Bess bracelet stand for the five children they have between them.

“This holiday season, it was in our hearts to partner with a local nonprofit creating change in our community and honor the mothers they serve,” Callarman says in a news release. “Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support was the perfect partner, and we hope that the gifts, carefully curated for each of the mothers by their children, bring a smile to their face each time they look down at their wrist.”

The nonprofit provides safety, shelter and support for women who have experienced domestic violence and their children.
