Artist Jasmine Zelaya’s “Twins” mural is now on display at NorthPark Center.

The mural was inspired by Zelaya’s parents who immigrated to the United States in the 1970s. Most of her art references that era.

Her art style combines multiple mediums, which are gouache and watercolor paint with graphite on paper.

A quad of woman with matching afros and outfits is the subject of the mural.

Another pattern that can be seen in her art is the juxtaposition of intentional mark making against the swell and waves of watercolor as it forms on the paper or other surface being used.

The “Twins” mural is on level two between Macy’s and Nordstrom at NorthPark Center.Â
