An American restaurant plans to open in the old Dougherty’s Pharmacy space at Preston-Royal.

Bobbie’s Airway Grill, according to its owners, is a “casual fine dining” restaurant, The Dallas Morning News reported.

Its CEO is Robert Quick, who’s behind il Bracco in Preston Center. Quick, who graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, California, also developed the menu. It will include items such as fried oysters and wood-grilled proteins.

And the COO is Matt Gottlieb, who partnered with Quick on il Bracco.

Last year, Dougherty’s moved to a new location a couple miles north on Preston Road.

Quick and Gottlieb plan to use one of the pharmacy’s neon “Airway” signs on the new restaurant patio, according to the Morning News. Michael Hsu Architecture, which worked with Loro in East Dallas, will give the old pharmacy a mid-century modern design.

Bobbie’s Airway Grill will be located at 5959 Royal Lane.
