Small business index

Small business owners usually pay income taxes on company profits, which contributes to the potential financial success of the business.

With this in mind, determining factors used for the attractiveness for each region were reported tax returns compared to the total tax-filing population and small business income compared to overall income in each region.

In Dallas County, small business returns average 23.9% and income is 30.3%, which is the highest income percentage on the list. Together, this results in a 94.3 small business index.

The chart below from SmartAsset shows the small business index and ranks of the nine other Texas counties that ranked. The income tax is unchanged.
