The Ashford Rise School of Dallas at The Moody Family YMCA in the Park Cities received a $2.325-million endowment recently.

The gift, from the Touchdown Club of Dallas, will “support early education, intervention and therapy services to children with and without developmental disabilities, establishing an endowment which will result in more opportunities for future students and their families.”

The $2.325-million was immediately doubled from funds the YMCA received from MacKenzie Scott Foundation in 2020.

The private school serves students “with and without developmental disabilities,” of 6 months to 6 years old. The school enrolls about 70% of students with Down syndrome and other differences, and about 30% typical learners.

The Touchdown Club has raised about $15 million for the school since 1998.
