Highland Park High School’s boys golf team traveled to Austin, Texas to take part in the 5A 2021-2022 Golf State Championship. 

The Scots unfortunately did not walk away in first place, but they did take the second and third place overall

Jackson Muncy, Blake Goodnight, Jacob Pletcher, Mack Duvall, Robert Boyce were all teammates on the Blue team for the Scots, who won second place. The team had a day one score of 303 and a day two score of 288, to have a total of 591 points. 

Preston Cooper, Martin Kemp, Joe Stover, Brooks Simmons, Christian Clark, made up the third place group, the Gold team. They had a day one score of 303, but a day two score of 291 to total up 594 points. 

Austin Anderson High School won the whole tournament with a score of 587.
